about

These songs were produced at numerous time periods, ranging from 2013-2016. They are all rather experimental in nature. Consider the last five tracks to be bonus tracks of sorts (i.e. they don't totally tie into the overall aesthetic of the album too well, but I still wanted to release them and they're not too far off conceptually from what I was aiming for, but musically, they're definitely less experimental than the other tracks).

As for the album's name and theme, skunks are my spirit/totem animal, and I have a long history with them. In particular, they have often been relevant during psychedelic experiences and altered states of consciousness. Aniwye is not a very friendly skunk -- he is a native American folk legend, said to be monstrously violent and dangerous. Think of this album loosely as a concept album about the existential, psychedelic angst and even wonder of a skunk. The album artwork itself is a skunk receiving surgery, while under the anesthetic influence of ketamine, ironically enough.
